What
to Recycle
If
you recycle everything you can, you will have very little
waste to throw away. We will pickup most common household
recyclables including aluminum cans, plastic and glass
bottles, metal cans, newspaper, office paper (junk mail)
and cardboard.
If
you have any special requests, call us for a quote for
a special pickup.
Non-recyclable
materials will not be picked up.
Here
are a list of items we are currently accepting:Paper(all

Cereal boxes, etc.

Aluminum
Cans Please rinse out and crush cans as much as
you can.
Cardboard
Please break down all cardboard into a plastic bag
or consolidating all cardboard into one box is acceptable.
We accept corrugated cardboard and chipboard (the thin
printed cardboard in product packaging like cereal boxes
and cigarette packs). Paper egg cartons are OK, but
please no Styrofoam egg cartons. Please make sure there
is no food trash on pizza boxes, etc.
Glass
We NOW Accept Glass bottles and jars. Please rinse and
remove any metal or plastic lids.
Paper
We accept almost all types of paper including newspaper,
phone books, office paper, and junk mail.
Styrofoam
We accept firm Styrofoam like what is used as packing
around TV sets. Please no packing peanuts or
Styrofoam egg cartons (paper egg cartons are OK).
Plastic
Please rinse out and crush bottles as much as you can.
We now take plastics type 1 through type 7. This is
indicated on the bottom of the container. Sorry we DO
NOT take hazardous containers like antifreeze jugs,
plastic product wrap, plastic drink holders, or plastic
bags (other than those used to bag materials). However,
Kroger accepts plastic grocery bags for recycling.
Plastic
#1: Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE)
Common uses: 2 liter soda bottles, medicine containers,
cooking oil bottles, peanut butter jars. This is the
most widely recycled plastic and often has redemption
value under the California "Bottle Bill."
Plastic
#2: High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
These include heavier containers. Common uses: detergent
bottles, milk jugs, shampoo and motor oil.
Plastic
#3: Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
Common uses: plastic pipes, outdoor furniture, shrink
wrap, water bottles, salad dressing and liquid detergent
containers.
Plastic
#4: Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
Common uses: dry cleaning bags, produce bags, trash
can liners, food storage containers.
Plastic
#5: Polypropylene (PP)
Common uses: bottle caps, drinking straws.
Plastic
#6: Polystyrene (PS)
Common uses: cups, plastic tableware, meat trays, to-go
"clam shell" containers.
Plastic
#7: Other
Common uses: certain kinds of food containers and Tupperware.
This plastic category, as its name of "other"
implies, is any plastic other than the named #1-#6 plastic
types. These containers can be any of the several different
types of plastic polymers.
